Duccio di Buoninsegna

Duccio di Buoninsegna (Italian: [ˈduttʃo di ˌbwɔninˈseɲɲa]; c. 1255–1260 – c. 1318–1319) was an Italian painter active in Siena, Tuscany in the late 13th and early 14th centuries.

He is considered to be the father of Sienese painting and, along with a few others, the founder of Western art. He was hired throughout his life to complete many important works in government and religious buildings around Italy. Duccio is credited with creating the painting styles of Trecento and the Sienese school, and also contributed significantly to the Sienese Gothic style.

Fra Angelico

Combinó su vida de fraile dominico con la de pintor. Nació en Vicchio di Mugello, Florencia, Italia el 24 de Junio de 1390. Lo llamaron Angélico por utilizar siempre la temática religiosa y por la serenidad que transmitían sus obras. En 1982 fue beatificado por Juan Pablo II.
En Coronación de la Virgen pueden apreciarse las características que imprimía en todas sus pinturas, combinando las gamas azules y rojas con grupos de ángeles, apóstoles, santos y profetas reunidos en torno a la figura de la Santa María. Murió el 18 de febrero de 1455.

He combined his life of Dominican friar with the painter. He was born in Vicchio di Mugello, Florence, Italy on 24 June 1390. He was called Angelico forever use religious themes and serenity conveying their works. In 1982 he was beatified by John Paul II.
In Coronation of the Virgin can be seen the characteristics that printed in all his paintings, combining blue and red ranges with groups of angels, apostles, saints and prophets gathered around the figure of Santa Maria. He died on February 18, 1455.
